Our story

Set up in a minute, sleep above it all

A rooftop tent turns your vehicle into a camp — no ground to level, no tent poles to fight, and no wet floor in the morning. Summit Shell tents have a hard, insulated shell that closes flat against your roof for the road, then pops up into a roomy sleeping space in under a minute. A gas strut and a folded ladder do the work; you climb in, zip up and sleep above the trail. Built for overlanding and car camping, they carry a mattress, keep the weather out, and pack down slim enough to leave the roof racks clear when closed.

How it's made

Each tent is built around a fibreglass or aluminium hard shell, a folded foam mattress, and a gas-strut mechanism that lifts the top. The shell is sealed and weatherproofed, and the fabric is a durable, water-repellent ripstop chosen to shed rain and wind.

How to use it

Unclip the two latches, and the gas strut pops the shell open — no poles to assemble. Extend the ladder, climb in, and zip the cover closed. To pack up, fold the cover down, zip it shut and clip the latches; it takes about a minute each way.

Good to know

How do I care for it?

Close and clip the shell before driving, and use the travel cover for dust and weather. Wipe the shell clean, keep the zips and latches clear, and air the mattress out after a wet trip.

Is it weatherproof?

Yes. The hard shell and sealed cover keep out rain and wind, and the mattress sits above the ground, so it stays dry and level even on rough ground. The annex adds a dry, sheltered room below.

Will it fit my vehicle?

The tents mount to standard roof racks or a load bar and fit most vehicles. The compact and solo models suit smaller cars; the queen is best on a wagon, ute or SUV. Check the roof weight limit for your vehicle.

Is it a safety or medical device?

No. It is a camping tent for sleeping on a vehicle. It does not treat or address any condition and is not a substitute for checking your vehicle's roof load and driving safely with the tent fitted.

What is the weight limit?

The tents are rated for two people sleeping in the queen and double sizes. The mattress and shell are built to hold a typical adult pair comfortably, with a generous safety margin for gear.

How fast does it open?

Under a minute. Unclip the two latches and the gas strut lifts the shell open — no poles to assemble. Extend the ladder, and you are ready to climb in. Closing takes about the same.
